A handmade wreath in an autumn garden

A little of nature,
made by hand — only for you.

I’m Stalo. I gather what the island quietly offers — pine cones, driftwood, dried flowers — and shape each one slowly, by hand, into something that exists nowhere else.

Stalo, the maker behind Stal Naturals
Hello, I’m Stalo

After a lifetime of precision,
I came back to nature.

I spent most of my working life as a civil engineer — years of careful, exacting work that never quite left me. I still love the quiet puzzle of how small things fit together; only now it’s pine cones, driftwood and dried flowers instead of plans and drawings.

Everything I make, I make by hand, from simple natural and recycled materials I choose and gather myself. Nothing is mass-produced, and no two pieces are ever the same.

My story

The sea, and then the forest

I’ve been a beach person my whole life — the golden-white sand, every shade of blue and turquoise, the white lace the waves leave behind. The salty water has always felt like food for body and soul.

Then, a few years ago, I discovered the forest, and it was a whole new world — the clean air, the scent of resin, moss you can’t help but touch. I began coming home with pine cones, cedar cones, acorns and bark, and slowly those finds became everything I build from.

The process

How a piece comes to life

Nothing here is bought in a box. Every piece starts as a handful of things a walk gave me, and slowly becomes something I’m proud to send to you.

It begins with a walk — and a pocketful of what the day offers.

And piece by piece, with no rush at all, it takes shape.

“I’m not a factory, and I don’t want to be. I make one thing at a time — the way I’d make it for my own home.”

The feeling

Made slowly, somewhere warm

There’s almost always a dog underfoot while I work, and a window open to the garden. I think that’s the part people feel when a piece arrives — that it was made slowly, by hand, in a home that loves it.

Most mornings start with a long walk, usually with my two huskies at my side. That’s where every piece really begins.

pine cone

Pine cones are the heart of almost everything I make. I love that the pine has always stood for strength and resilience — it even reseeds itself after a fire. That’s the quiet feeling I like to think travels with every piece into your home.

“My motto is, simply — nature.”
